How to… Take great Fishing & Hunting pictures.
ALWAYS use a flash,
try to eliminate shadows.

TAKE a lot of photos,
you only get one chance.

REMOVE your hat
or at least Look Up.

FOCUS on the person,
not the Fish or Animal.

LOOK at the camera,
not at your trophy.

REMOVE
Sunglasses

To create a great Laser etched Portrait of You and your Trophy,
You will first need to take a great picture of You and Your Trophy.
And that task is not as easy as you may think.

Your Fishing & Hunting pictures have two important subjects, You and Your Trophy. Position yourself with your trophy in either the left or right two thirds of the frame, this will give the picture depth.

Don’t leave empty space around the subject, get as close to the subject as possible, then get closer.

Always have the subject facing into the frame; this will draw the viewer’s eye to the center of the frame.

When displaying Your Trophy Fish, hold it in front of you, your arms about three quarters extended. If it’s hanging because it’s too heavy (lucky you) stand close, but just a bit behind it and look at the camera.

When displaying Your Trophy Animal, position yourself kneeling behind the head with the body to the side. Position your self about 6 inches behind the animal’s head.

Always focus the picture on the persons face and have the fish or animal out in front a bit. You want everyone to know it was YOU who captured THE BIG ONE!

Try to eliminate all shadows, especially on the face. If you are wearing a hat, take it off or at the very least LOOK UP and if you’re wearing sunglasses remove them, these two tips will allow us to see YOUR FACE.

Always use a flash. Even in daylight, put your finger over the light sensor of the camera so the flash will always go off. This will help to eliminate shadows.

Always look at the camera, not your trophy. We want everyone to know that, YOU gotta BIG ONE..!

Take lots of pictures. You only have one shot at getting a perfect picture, Make It Count.

When taking a Picture for a Personalized Coaster Set, always hold the camera horizontal not vertical.

Step back and zoom up this will eliminate much of the background, making a more flattering picture.
